DIET CLUSTERFUCK

America is fat. Why? Why is fatness a BIG issue now? Well, here are 3 things that are killing you SOFTLY.

By the way, I'm not speaking to you on high, like some skinny bitch telling all you bitches to change your ways. I'm 5 foot 4 inches, 240 lb housewife just sharing some recent research with all you lovely folks. There are some links up in that article so you can verify what I'm spouting.

Is it Sugar?

YES:

It's my understanding that Fruit is 100% okay, just watch it with those grapes and acidic fruits...otherwise, I'm talking about table sugar, corn syrup, bread, and pasta.

Carbs (bread, pasta, sugar, syrup) = Glucose/Fructose
Glucose = ok (our bodies need it)  Fructose = bad (not needed)
Insulin attaches to G/F and sends it where it needs to go.
G is needed in a lot of places. (fruits and veggies)
F is sent to the liver to become Fat. (table sugar and syrup)
If G is not needed, it too becomes Fat. (eat more than needed)

More and more G/F too often = More and more insulin
(More and more insulin = body becomes resistant) Diabetes
G/F unhelped by insulin become toxic to the body...
Body untreated for Diabetes = numbness, loss of limbs, blindness, death...

Fructose = more triglycerides (fat in the blood)
Normal Triglycerides = okay
Too much Triglycerides = suppressed Leptin (leads to heart disease)
Leptin is secreted by fat cells and tells your body you don't need more fat, stop storing fat!

Fructose = still hungry/ thirsty
Glucose = satisfied
Fructose is also highly addictive, similarly to COCAINE!

A healthy amount of sugar per day is 25-35 grams or 6 - 9 teaspoons.

Is it Processed foods?

YES!

Added sugar, which should be consumed with care for reasons listed above...

The Processing process stips food of its natural fiber and fiber is super good for us. It helps us poop, reduces the risk of cancers, helps us absorb vitamins, and helps us feel full longer!

Added salt. Adding salt makes food tasty, but it also forces your body to store water. More water = high blood pressure
High Blood Pressure = stroke, heart attack or kidney disease...

Added Trans Fats/ Hydrogenated Oils = Fatty plaque build-up

Processed foods are engineered by corporations to be addictive. They're filled with sugar, salt, fats and "natural flavors" So that you crave more and more and never feel full until you are literally FULL!

Is it Sitting too much?

YES!

Sitting for too long = 3 hours or more at a time/ 8 or more hours a day

Sitting too long = less Lipoprotein Lipase Enzymes
Lipoprotein Lipase helps the body break down Triglycerides (fat in the blood) and burning of fat. So, less of this stuff is bad.
Lipoprotein is secreted during fasting glucose; sugar burning exercise.

Sitting too much = Weak Bones = chronic pain and possible fractures = even less movement = more fat = early death
Actually moving: Lifting, Walking, Standing all encourage your bones to produce fresh new bones! Meaning, when your bones feel you muscles pulling on them, they LOVE IT! They are triggered to make stronger new bones!

Sitting too long = decreasing blood flow to legs and feet, while increasing blood pressure throughout the rest of the body (causes heart disease)

You can prevent this effect by getting up once an hour and moving for 10 minutes. So get up off that thing, and dance until you feel better!

NOTE THIS: Exercising does NOT earn you a good long sit without harmful effects. Exercising is good for you, but decreasing the flow of blood to your legs is bad for everyone no matter how healthy.

In Conclusion, if you find it hard to stop eating foods you know are bad, there's a good reason...the manufactures of these foods don't want you to stop. The only way to stop is to STOP by sheer willpower. Good Luck with that. Also, if you're sitting for more than 3 hours at a time or 8 hours or more a day, you need to find a way to break up those times of sitting with some activity. Just 10 minutes every couple hours could save your life on many levels. I dance between episodes on Netflix, Hulu, HBO and YouTube
