This review is from: Blooded (Lisen of Solsta Book 3) (Kindle Edition)
The first thing I must say is that this book is a huge emotional roller-coaster. Sometimes I wanted to throw my phone, other times I had to stay up all night to read as much as I could.
In the previous books Lisen is stolen from Earth and has to struggle through a plethora of challenges until she is finally able take on her brother, who is the evil king of this new world, Garla. During her adventures she gives birth to a baby without her knowledge. Korin, the romantic interest from book one steals away the baby, keeping it secret because he doesn't agree with how Lisen won her throne from her brother. This is where Blooded begins. Lisen is queen, Korin is hiding her baby and not everyone is happy with the change in power.
Lisen has to master the political landscape of Garla, and she's doing a great job of it until an old enemy and a new one combine forces to take her out! Lisen is forced to embrace her psychic gift, which is not looked on fondly, in order to save her own life, but in saving herself she dooms her world to civil war. She's on one side, and Korin and her secret baby is on the other side. And both sides have only months to raise their armies, turning farmers into soldiers.
It's an exciting book to be sure!

FATAL IN PROGRESS

Writing a screenplay isn't hard...Just time consuming.  After a year I'm still in the process of turning my first book into a movie because I'm so swamped. Between working full time, being a mom, wife and writing the final Paranormal Washington Book, Toxic Bliss AND fixing up our house for a summer sale, I just don't have time to finish Fatal Retribution's screenplay, titled simply FATAL. But it will happen. Will some lucky producer make Fatal a reality? That's the dream...and here's my dream cast:

Raina
Nick (Nil)
Damon

Alistair
Alistair is actually the hardest character to cast. There are so many great British actors...I'm never completely settled on one...

Katie
Michael
Seth
Tristan
Anna
Mato

Well...a girl can dream, can't she?

And here are some places in the Paranormal Washington series:

IT'S 2015....yay -_-

It's 2015, and that means it's promise time. Time for us all to make new years resolutions. Last year mine was to work out more...I still do, but I haven't lost much weight. Then again, I haven't gained weight either, so that's a plus. This year my goal is to sell my small house in favor for something a tad bigger.

At the moment we're dwelling in a humble 2 bed, 1 bathroom cottage on a fair size of land in a quiet neighborhood in Everett. The cottage was a nice starter home, but we're getting to that point in life where we need more room for our family.

We have a lot of work ahead of us to get our house worthy of a sale; new paint, new carpet, extensive landscaping, re-graveling the driveway and walk ways, fix the heating and the electrical, clean out all the clutter and perhaps lay some new flooring in the kitchen, replace the dish washer, kitchen facet and some of the cabinets...It certainly is a long road ahead, but I've promised myself we'd be out of this house before 2016, and by golly, I'm going to keep that promise...

That being said, my writing is suffering because my mind is distracted. A house divided and all that mess...I'm on chapter 8 in Toxic Bliss, the last Paranormal Washington book in the series...have been for the past month. I can't think about writing when my brain is weighed down by the seemingly endless projects ahead of me...
